I hope you enjoy the various samples of artwork I have created for studios and clients.
I have produced ever-evolving work since the early 1990s. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1973, I was fascinated with pop culture and design from an early age.
To this day I reflect on childhood influences that include anime, comics, movies and music. Although largely self-taught in computers and art,
I have attended various design programs at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, Vancouver Film School.
When I was a young boy being a Canadian born Chinese (CBC) I was heavily influenced by Asian and western pop culture. Some of my early influences were Albrecht Durer, Art Adams and Akira Toriyama.
At the age 19 I started working in the graphic design industry learning traditional techniques such as hand rendering type and airbrushing. This is about the time I became fascinated with the art of creating mix tapes and creating graffiti inspired art. After grinding away a 6 years in the Graphic design business, I realized that I had a passion for videogame graphics and 3D. Besides the days of the cartridge base systems. It was the introduction of the CD Rom that peaked my interest with all the multimedia content. Video, voice, music, 3D… the sky was the limit and I knew I wanted to be a part of this phenomenon.
I now have over a decade of experience in delivering remarkable multimedia and design services to all studios and clients I have worked with. I provide services in
